Rachel Dodd is an experienced coach, mentor and facilitator with significant practice and expertise built through work in the public, charity and for-profit sectors. Her specialisms include working with those who are stuck at any point in their career to unlock their potential and achieve their goals, enhancing value for individuals, teams and organisations. Rachel has a person-centred, values driven approach to bring energy and fun to learning.

One area of strength is Rachel’s experience in working with mid-life, mid-career women at all levels who are “stuck” in their career journey and unsure of their next steps, and she has had success with clients in public, for-profit and the third sector positions including those at leadership and executive level. In addition to her own practice, Rachel works with the Queen Bee Coaching Network, a Pankhurst Project, to deliver coaching to women of all backgrounds to overcome barriers, increase their impact on society and rise to positions of influence.

Career history

I began my career in the higher education sector, working in student recruitment and marketing, a role I enjoyed immensely for the diversity of people I met around the world and the successful partnerships formed. Building upon this, I moved to the for-profit sector in teaching and partnership roles which started my passion for learning and development. Returning to the university sector, I have undertaken a series of management and leadership roles which has reinforced my belief in the power of coaching and I bring insights and experience of challenging situations, change management and developing effective networks, teams and communities to my approach.

Coaching credentials

Building upon over ten years of leading, developing and supporting teams and individuals through coaching and mentoring, I have extensive experience working with clients in both the public and for-profit sectors. I am building upon my existing coaching qualification and working to formalise my enhanced knowledge and expertise through completion of my ILM 7 Executive Coaching qualification. I work to the Code of Ethics stipulated by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and this both guides and informs my practice.

Coaching speciality

My specialisms include working with those at all levels who are “stuck” in their career journey whether starting out, mid-career or reflecting on their career legacy. Previous clients have included women who are mid-life, mid-career and unsure of their next steps; early career individuals in the higher education and health sectors; senior academic decision-makers leading major change initiatives; and financial services and commercial sector clients at Partner/Director level.
